Borouge, a leading provider of innovative, value creating plastics solutions, has joined hands with Expo Centre Sharjah as Platinum Sponsor to launch the newest edition of Plastivision Arabia Conference and Exhibition scheduled to be held in Sharjah, UAE, on May 14-17, 2012.
Being a platform for the regional downstream petrochemicals companies, Plastivision Arabia is expected to bring together key players in the plastics raw material production, primary processing companies and auxiliary equipment suppliers and traders.

Borouge started production in 2001 with 450,000 tonnes per year, and in 2010 Borouge tripled its annual production capacity in Abu Dhabi to 2 million tonnes. The current Borouge 3 expansion project, which will be completed at the end of 2013, will add another 2.5 million tonnes per year to its annual capacity being fully operational by mid-2014. Last year, Borouge performed well in the third quarter, continuing to successfully ramp up production of new polyethylene and polypropylene grades at its plant in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. Aiming to be closer to its customers, Borouge is effectively supporting them through its three logistics hubs in China and Singapore.
