The GCC packaging market is one of the fastest growing sectors in the manufacturing industry in the Middle East. Over the last decade, manufacturers have seen the benefit of bulk import & repackaging from the GCC given the tax-free, cheaper manufacturing costs and re export advantage.

The 3rd Plastivision Arabia 2016 will host a special pavilion featuring finished plastics goods that will showcase an extensive range of products.

The pavilion will cater to the steady rise seen in demand for finished plastics products, which is set to increase further on the back of a growing economy, rising consumer sentiment, and a slew of mega events across the region.

It will particularly appeal to manufacturers who transform basic plastic products into finished goods and value-added products, which represent nearly one-fifth of the region's plastics industry.
The pavilion will also offer a great opportunity for regional small and medium enterprises to showcase their products to discerning trade visitors from across the world.

TAP THE AFRICAN MARKET

Participants at the pavilion will be able to effectively target the rising requirements of finished plastics products in Africa. In fact, Africa has been identified as one of the biggest growth areas for the plastics industry.

According to Africa Business Pages, during the past six years the use of plastics in Africa has grown by an astounding 150%, at a compound average growth rate of 8.7%. Imports of plastic into Africa have grown between 23% and 41% during this time.

After fuel, the second major product the GCC exports to Africa is closely connected to the hydrocarbons sector, including plastics. According to available statics, in 2011, export of plastics and related articles from GCC to Africa touched US$2,469 million.

Since GCC is also considered as the gateway to African market for plastic industry from the subcontinent and other Asian countries, participants can use the platform to tap the African countries effectively.
